Mumbai, September 26, 2026: Divyaj Foundation, spearheaded by Amruta Fadnavis, hosted Sea Shore Shine Biggest Clean-Up Drive 2026 at ‘A’ Gate, Juhu Beach, Mumbai, bringing together public figures, civic leaders, social changemakers, volunteers and citizens for a morning dedicated to cleaner shores and environmental responsibility.
Actor Ajay Devgn, BMC Commissioner Ashwini Bhide, Minister of Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Mangal Prabhat Lodha, and BJP Mumbai President and MLA Ameet Satam graced the programme along with Amruta Fadnavis.
The morning began with volunteer registration, clean-up preparations and public awareness activities, followed by songs and campaign videos encouraging citizens to support a “Do Not Litter” message. Holistic health guru Dr Mickey Mehta also addressed the gathering, engaging with students and guests on conscious living, health and responsibility towards the environment.
The event also saw the presence of Ram Kadam, MLA, Ghatkopar; Seema Singh, Founder of Meghashrey, philanthropist and advocate for women empowerment; Sukhraj Nahar, Founder of Nahar International School and Chairman and Managing Director of Nahar Group; Sujay Jairaj, educationist, entrepreneur and trustee of the Narsee Monjee Educational Trust and Chairperson of Chatrabhuj Narsee School; Mazhar Nadiadwala, Managing Director, Dome Entertainment Group; Brajesh Murarka from Murarka Group; and Sagar Jain from Association of Social Beyond Boundaries.
As part of the initiative, guests were felicitated not with flowers, but with green planters, carrying forward the spirit of the campaign and its message of sustainability.
Speaking about the initiative, Amruta Fadnavis said, “The sea gives Mumbai its identity, its beauty and its spirit. Keeping our shores clean is not just a civic responsibility, it is an emotional commitment to the city we love. Through Sea Shore Shine, we hope to encourage more people, especially the youth, to take ownership of our environment and become active participants in protecting it.”
Ajay Devgn, who supported the initiative, said, “Clean beaches are not the responsibility of one organisation or one authority alone. They reflect the collective discipline and concern of citizens. I am happy to support Divyaj Foundation’s initiative, which reminds us that real change begins when people come together for a larger cause.”
Sea Shore Shine 2026 was organised with the support of BMC and Mumbai Police. The initiative created awareness about marine pollution, post-festival waste management and the importance of sustained civic participation in protecting Mumbai’s coastline.
