“Taramoyee Anger Management School” is a classic political satire that explores the emotional instability of modern society through fragmented situations, symbolic characters and layered performances. The production creates a theatrical world where humour and discomfort exist side by side, reflecting how anger, confusion, frustration and emotional fatigue have become part of everyday life.
Drawing inspiration from world politics, historical ideologies, cultural identities and social conditioning, the play presents a series of intense yet darkly comic situations that question how individuals react under pressure and uncertainty.
Storyline
The story is set inside an unusual anger management institution where three individuals arrive seeking counselling for their emotional struggles. As they interact with the receptionist and later with the counsellor, their personal frustrations, suppressed emotions and hidden realities slowly begin to unfold. Through dark humour, satire and intense conversations, the play explores the psychological and social reasons behind modern anger. What begins as a seemingly ordinary counselling session gradually transforms into a deeper reflection on society, identity, pressure and emotional survival.
As the play progresses, the tone gradually transforms from humorous and exaggerated, to deeply serious and realistic. The final atmosphere reflects the frustration of common people trapped within political unrest, economic pressure and social disruption. Without directly preaching, the drama captures the silent anger of a generation trying to survive within systems controlled by chaos, noise and conflict.
