I’m from a Bengali Family. And like any other bangla kid, multiple art forms were a part of my upbringing. My favourites being, classical and light music, both taught by my parents..
Music really ruled my heart, but I also was an academic genius, which in turn pushed me to aspire becoming a doctor. Fate had it’s way and I just knew, music was it.
My husband turned out to be an avid listener and music connoisseur, it’s him who inspired me to take it as a profession!
12 years of teaching in leading schools of Ahmedabad as a music in charge, I wanted to dream bigger. I wanted to build a brand for myself, brand of myself.
Simultaneously, I started my career as an artist in All India Radio from 2007. Also established a retro houseful club in Jan 2012, which still runs, wherein we present different musical concepts with leading stage artists from all across the country.
First Lockdown took all of us down with a storm. Our industry started losing to an extent that artists became jobless. I knew i wanted to step in, which is why i started doing online musical shows which were free of cost and were only meant to keep the art form alive. I also extended help and support to the artists in need with grain kits, medical expenses etc for about six months.
I am also currently the Director of Trideva Events which is an event management company since 2019.
My shows have also taken place internationally in many places in UK, UAE, Zambia, Hongkong.
I worked as a music director in a 11 episode web series called Woww Womenia.
I have worked to extend Kaviguru Ravindranath Tagore thoughts in Bengali songs to present in Gujarati & Urdu for the first time ever under the representation of Sri Harivanshray Rawal Hakeer & was blessed and appreciated by Gujarat Sangeet Natak Academy.
There are 3 non stop Garba Albums in my name.
I have sung for Gujarati Movies and Rajasthani Movies apart from making my own albums, writing lyrics and compose tunes.
